Optical Illusions in Art.

These optical illusions are amazing. However, if the artist,Julian Beever, does not use math to create these extremely realistic illusions, I'm a monkeys uncle. These illusions are so realistic that often pedestrians on the street swerve to avoid the seemingly dangerous holes in the ground. The angles implicated in these art pieces must so precise that it can only be assumed that math plays a big role in these chalk creations.

  1. First, I want to say that I had a prtty good laugh reading 'I'm a monkey's Uncle'! :p hahaa
I've seen quite a few of these illusions before and they are insane! To think that on such a flat surface one can use art, and mathematical techniques to create such realistic pieces of art is crazy! I'm still confused on whther the man in the third picture is part of the illusion or real :p The batman one is by far my favorite! :) Super cool Sadie!

  2. What an amazing intersection between math and art! Not that I know what the math is either...now THAT would make an interesting IA! I love the tubing one!
